The present thesis deals with the energy upgrade of a single-family house through upgrade scenarios, which help the user to stay in it pleasantly and breezily . At the beginning of the thesis, the importance of energy saving in buildings is discussed and the climate zones of the country are presented. Then, the basic concepts of K.E.N.A.K. are given, in order to issue the appropriate Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Furthermore, the wanted actions for the proper operation of the building are mentioned, as well as ways to improve the E/M facilities and the building shell, in order to achieve additional energy savings. Continuing, the energy study and classification of the existing building are done. And then, the analysis of the energy upgrading scenarios of the building is being made, as also the inclusion of a solar system is being studied and the summary presentation of the results is made. Finally, the economic and technical analysis of the scenarios and the presentation of the final conclusions are carried out, in order to include the green energy in the initial design of the buildings.
