The Outer Ring Road project in the city of Thessaloniki is a project that will give life to the city and the areas close to it. The positive effects that will occur both economically and socially are expected to improve the quality of life. In order to do this, of course, intensive studies and thorough control must be carried out at every stage of the project. Particular importance must also be attached to the area of environmental impact. Some of the main features of the Outer Ring Road that we should be aware of is that its total length amounts to about 17km (it includes the Nursing Home junction), it will start from the A/K Nursing Home of Egnatia Odos and will end at the A/K Chortiatis on the Asvestochori – Chortiatis road, including the A/K Eykarpias, A/K Filyrou, the semi-node of Asvestochori and the road connections with local roads. In this diploma thesis, the aim is to investigate and analyze public opinion regarding the construction and operation of the Outer Regional. There will also be a report on the environmental impact of the project for the construction phase as well as its operation. Therefore, taking into consideration the analysis of the answers that will be given by the citizens, we will be able to understand about the thoughts they have, the trend or trends that will prevail, concerns and suggestions from them for the possible improvement of the project for the construction and the operation of the project and of course the consequences for the environment and the residents.
