Libraries in the geographical prefecture of Thessaloniki: website and online map creation (Bachelor thesis)

This thesis consists of both a theoretical section and a
practical part. The theoretical section discusses
th e various types of libraries found throughout the prefecture of Thessaloniki, providing a partial analysis. It
includes historical information about the libraries, the services and facilities they offer, as well as the activities
taking place at these loca tions. Additionally, the thesis describes the process of constructing and implementing
the website and digital map, which is visually presented through step by step images alongside verbal
explanations. T he practical part of this thesis consists of the web site and digital map themselves, created to
provide further support in the matter.

| Abstract: | Η συγκεκριμένη πτυχιακή εργασία περιλαμβάνει τόσο ένα θεωρητικό μέρος, όσο και ένα πρακτικό
κομμάτι. Στο θεωρητικό μέρος, αναφέρονται, και εν μέρει αναλύονται, τα διάφορα είδη βιβλιοθηκών που
συναντώνται σε όλη την έκταση του νομού Θεσσαλον ίκη ς. Μέρος αυτού του κομματιού αποτελούν, φυσικά, τα
ιστορικά στοιχεία των βιβλιοθηκών, οι υπηρεσίες που προσφέρουν, οι συλλογές τους, και ενδεχομένως οι
δραστηριότητες που μπορεί να γίνονται στον χώρο τους. Επιπλέον, περιγράφεται η διαδικασία κατασκευής και
υλ οποίησης του δικτυακού τόπου και του ηλεκτρονικού χάρτη, όχι μόνο λεκτικά, αλλά και με τη βοήθεια
επεξηγηματικών εικόνων, που δείχνουν το πώς πραγματοποιήθηκαν βήμα βήμα. Το δεύτερο, πρακτικό,
κομμάτι, βρίσκεται σε ψηφιακή μορφή , και αποτελείται απ ό τ ον ίδιο τον δικτυακό τόπο και τον ηλεκτρονικό
χάρτη, που δημιουργήθηκαν έτσι ώστε να παρέχουν επιπλέον υποστήριξη στο θέμα της πτυχιακής εργασίας.
