Abstract: | As the level of automation on building infrastructure was increased rapidly the last few decades, the need of effortless management of building automation services led to the development of the first Building Management Systems (BMS). The “BMS” term was introduced in the early 1970s, when for the first time complex electronic devices were able to operate the devices of the building infrastructure and retain data of their operation. Today's BMS are computer-based control systems that provide monitoring and management of the automation devices installed in a building infrastructure. |
