The purpose of the currrent assignment is the creation of a website for the support of the Internship of the Department of Engineering Informatics TE of the Thessaloniki University of Technology. The website created with the main purpose of informing the students of the Department as to the statute of Internship and to facilitate the whole process as a whole. The design of the website was done in such a way as to satisfy the requirements of the trainee students as well as to provide easy and comprehensible access and navigation to the visitors. More specifically, the website includes everything the student may need about the practice training, such as information through appropriate guides, printed materials necessary for the practical training in electronic form, direct updating through news releases on topical issues, as well as a table with the data of all the employers working with the Department and the jobs they offer for internships. Employers are also the only users who are given access to the site so they can manage their data. It is also provided electronically the completion of the questionnaires which are to be completed by the student, the supervisor and the supervisor at the end of the Practice Exercise. As website administrator, is the professor the institution has set responsible for the statute of Internship. The administrator has full responsibility for checking and accepting system registration requests through site features. Finally, it is possible to view statistics and graphs from the results of the questionnaires. This is a Web site that was designed and developed entirely with open source software. Specifically, were used the open source programming languages HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, the Bootstrap web framework for quick and easy implementation as well as popular free software development tools such as XAMPP, phpMyAdmin and the text processor Sublime Text. MySQL was also used to store and retrieve information from the database
