This work is one of the basic everyday activities of the individual in order to satisfy the material, spiritual and moral goods needed for his survival. The work is difficult and often dangerous to the health of the individual. Many accidents occur during work and some of them can lead to death, to total or partial disability. Occupational Health and Safety is an obligation on the part of the state and employers to workers, but workers themselves should take care of taking appropriate safety measures in their workplace. The following work, entitled "Occupational Health and Safety", aims to study the health and safety of workers in their workplace and develops into seven chapters. The first chapter refers to the relevant legislation, the second chapter develops hygiene in the workplace, the third chapter describes the occupational hazards and the measures for their prevention; in the fourth chapter are reported statistics on health and safety in the workplace; Chapter five describes the protection and prevention services, the chapter develops prevention and protection measures at the workplace, the seventh and last chapter refers to the global Safety and Health Day at work.
