The aluminum industry is one of the most important and strongest manufacturing sectors within the Greek economy. Aluminium is a metal that has great advantages and qualities that makes it extremely popular in a variety of applications. In Greece, huge quantities of bauxite deposits have triggered the sector becoming verticalized with enormous economic and industrial development. Extremely important role for this development is played by the construction of the aluminium factory (Aluminium of Greece), which since the 1960s has been the most important factor in this vertically integrated sector. In the first chapter of the paper we will refer to the basic properties and characteristics of aluminium. Its multiple applications and uses will be highlighted, as well as the main characteristics of the sector in Greece. This industry employs thousands of employees and thousands of businesses and is an important part of the Greek economy and exports. In the second chapter, an extensive reference will be made to the Aluminium factory in Greece. A historical review will be carried out, an overview of production processes will be highlighted and production capacities and procedures will be commented. It will also refer to the productive, economic and social offer of the factory -as well as- its overall added value. The third chapter will outline the main conclusions and comments
