This thesis revolves around the anatomy of the spine, its kinesiology, myology and ligaments as well as the nervous system concerning the cervical spine. In order to examine the patient suffering from cervical syndrome, diagnostic imaging techniques and physiotherapy assessment techniques are included. Following those, we present the diseases the cervical syndrome consists of. Said degenerative diseases are cervical disc herniation, cervical radiculopathy, cervical myelopathy and cervical spondylosis. The treatment of these conditions includes both medical and physiotherapeutic techniques. Surgery and conservative treatment form part of the medical techniques, while the physiotherapeutic rehabilitation program differentiates injuries based on the rehabilitation stage, that is the acute, subacute or chronic stage. The results of this work can be found summarized in the conclusions chapter.
