The breast is the organ that distinguishes the woman and gives her special grace and beauty. At the same time, however, it creates the most disturbances and concerns. The following project explains its anatomy and physiology and then analyzes the breast conditions. It is important in aesthetics to have knowledge of the subject because our profession concerns mainly women and also helps us because we often work with doctors. It is a major matter that is often talked about and if there’s fear or suspicion, it will be good to give advice to a customer or refer her to a specialist.The first chapter we refer to the chronology of the breast in regard to ancient times, sculpture, painting and diseases. The second chapter describes the anatomy and physiology of the breast so that there is a generalized picture of exactly where each condition occurs. In Chapter 3 we will see an extensive analysis of benign conditions of the breast that occur in women, as well as in men in a low percentage.In Chapter 4, congenital growth abnormalities and breast dysplasia are analyzed. Finally, chapter 5 is about the malignant diseases of the breast, their causes, symptoms and treatments.

| Abstract: | Ο μαστός είναι το όργανο που ξεχωρίζει στη γυναίκα και της προσδίδει ιδιαίτερη χάρη και ομορφιά. Παράλληλα, όμως, δημιουργεί τις πιο πολλές ενοχλήσεις και προβληματισμούς. Η παρακάτω εργασία εξηγεί την ανατομία και φυσιολογία του και στην συνέχεια αναλύει τις παθήσεις του μαστού. Είναι σημαντικό στην αισθητική να υπάρχουν γνώσεις πάνω σε αυτό το θέμα γιατί ο κλάδος μας έχει να κάνει στο μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό με γυναίκες όπως επίσης μας βοηθάει γιατί πολλές φορές η αισθητική συνεργάζεται και με τον ιατρικό κλάδο. Είναι ένα μείζον θέμα που απασχολεί συχνά και θα ήταν καλό σε περίπτωση φόβου ή υποψίας, να μπορούμε να συμβουλέψουμε μια πελάτισσα είτε να την παραπέμψουμε σε έναν ειδικό.Στο 1ο κεφάλαιο αναφέρεται η ιστορική αναδρομή του μαστού όσο αφορά την αρχαιότητα, την γλυπτική, ζωγραφική και τις παθήσεις. Στο 2ο κεφάλαιο περιγράφονται η ανατομία και η φυσιολογία του μαστού ώστε να υπάρχει μια γενικευμένη εικόνα σε ποια ακριβώς σημεία παρουσιάζεται κάθε πάθηση. Στο 3ο κεφάλαιο θα δούμε μια εκτενής ανάλυση σχετικά με τις καλοήθεις παθήσεις του μαστού που εμφανίζονται στις γυναίκες αλλά και σε πολύ μικρό ποσοστό στους άνδρες.Στο 4ο κεφάλαιο αναλύονται οι συγγενείς ανωμαλίες ανάπτυξης και δυσπλασίας μαστού.Τέλος, στο 5ο κεφάλαιο είναι οι κακοήθεις παθήσεις μαστού τα αίτια, τα συμπτώματα και η αντιμέτωπη τους.
