During this trial, we studied the effect of a feed additive on the growth of lactating calves. We used 19 female calves, divided into two groups of 9 and 10 calves. One group was fed according to the diet program applied to the production unit, while on the other group’s diet the feed additive was added. The calves were being weighed once a week until the weaning age, while their food was weighed daily. Then we compared the weight gain of the calves of the two groups, and we correlated their diet with their growth. Thus, we were able to assess the effect of the feed additive on the calves’ growth. It has been ascertained that adding the feed additive to the calf diet, led to a more effective fattening of the growing calves.
