During this trial, we studied the effect of a feed additive on the growth of lactating calves. We used 19 female calves, divided into two groups of 9 and 10 calves. One group was fed according to the diet program applied to the production unit, while on the other group’s diet the feed additive was added. The calves were being weighed once a week until the weaning age, while their food was weighed daily. Then we compared the weight gain of the calves of the two groups, and we correlated their diet with their growth. Thus, we were able to assess the effect of the feed additive on the calves’ growth. It has been ascertained that adding the feed additive to the calf diet, led to a more effective fattening of the growing calves.

| Abstract: | Κατά τη διάρκεια της διεξαγωγής της παρούσας εργασίας μελετήθηκε η επίδραση μιας πρόσθετης ύλης ζωοτροφής στην ανάπτυξη των γαλουχούμενων μοσχαριών. Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν 19 θηλυκά μοσχάρια τα οποία χωρίστηκαν σε δύο ομάδες των 9 και 10 μοσχαριών. Η μία ομάδα διατράφηκε σύμφωνα με το διατροφικό πρόγραμμα που εφαρμόζεται στην μονάδα παραγωγής, ενώ στην άλλη ομάδα προστέθηκε και η πρόσθετη ύλη ζωοτροφών. Τα μοσχάρια ζυγίζονται εβδομαδιαίως έως την ηλικία του απογαλακτισμού, ενώ η τροφή τους ημερησίως. Συγκρίνοντας λοιπόν το αποκτώμενο βάρος των μοσχαριών των δύο ομάδων, συσχετίσθηκε η διατροφή με την ανάπτυξη και εκτιμήθηκε η επίδραση της πρόσθετη ύλης ζωοτροφής σε αυτή. Διαπιστώθηκε ότι η προσθήκη της πρόσθετης ύλης ζωοτροφής στο σιτηρέσιο των μοσχαριών οδήγησε στην αποτελεσματικότερη πάχυνση των αναπτυσσόμενων μοσχαριών.
