The use of Student Information Systems (SIS) to strengthen school administration and manage student performance in education has received increased attention over recent years. As SIS become more integrated business tools in schools, many school districts must make decisions on the extent to which SIS affects pupils' achievements and the adoption of the most appropriate SIS. Although many school regions apply student information systems (SIS), there is little empirical evidence on whether the use of SIS can improve student performance. This article seeks to contribute to a clear understanding of the effectiveness of SIS in the context of education. It examines the effectiveness of a particular SIS - eBASI - in the performance of pupils in Preveza schools.
