The size of mink shows great improvement in recent years, while there is an inversely
proportional reduction in litter size (LS). The aim of our study was the precise effect of
the Body Mass Index (BMI) of mink in their reproductive characteristics, namely the
litter size (LS) and the survival rate of offspring (SR). For this purpose, we conducted
the following experiment in a farm in the Kastoria region, from October 2016 until
November 2017. The study involved determination of the precise Body Mass Index
(BMI) of females used for breeding, their categorization into groups and the study of
their reproductive effects

| Abstract: | Το μέγεθος των μινκ παρουσιάζει μεγάλη βελτίωση τα τελευταία χρόνια, ενώ
παράλληλα παρατηρείται μια αντιστρόφως ανάλογη μείωση του μεγέθους της
τοκετοομάδας. Η έρευνα αυτή έχει ως σκοπό να μελετήσει την ακριβή επίδραση του
Δείκτη Μάζας Σώματος (ΔΜΣ) των μινκ ως προς τα αναπαραγωγικά τους
χαρακτηριστικά και συγκεκριμένα το μέγεθος της τοκετοομάδας (ΤΜ) και τον βαθμό
της επιβίωσης των απογόνων (ΒΕ). Για τον σκοπό αυτό, πραγματοποιήθηκε το
παρακάτω πείραμα, σε εκτροφή της περιοχής της Καστοριάς, από τον Οκτώβριου του
2016 μέχρι και τον Νοέμβριο του 2017. Η μελέτη αφορούσε τον ακριβή προσδιορισμό
του Δείκτη Μάζας Σώματος (ΔΜΣ) των θηλυκών ζώων που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν προς
αναπαραγωγή, την κατηγοριοποίησή τους σε ομάδες και τη μελέτη των
