The size of mink shows great improvement in recent years, while there is an inversely
proportional reduction in litter size (LS). The aim of our study was the precise effect of
the Body Mass Index (BMI) of mink in their reproductive characteristics, namely the
litter size (LS) and the survival rate of offspring (SR). For this purpose, we conducted
the following experiment in a farm in the Kastoria region, from October 2016 until
November 2017. The study involved determination of the precise Body Mass Index
(BMI) of females used for breeding, their categorization into groups and the study of
their reproductive effects
