Η ακμή και η θεραπευτική της αντιμετώπιση (Bachelor thesis)

n this particular thesis is analyzed the skin lesion of acne in addition to the
therapeutic treatment of acne.
Firstly, is underlined the definition of acne and its clinical presentation. Its
epidemiology is defined as well as the pathophysiology of the condition. The
predisposing and deteriorating factors of the disease are analyzed in order to
deeply understand acne. In addition, acne’s manifestation is categorized in
inflammatory and non-inflammatory subtypes. The secondary lesions and the
complications of acne are put under the microscope. The therapeutic approach of
the condition from the medical field as well as from the aesthetics point of view is
discussed, showing the significance in the combined treatment.
In the second chapter the complications of acne and the influence of a certain
diet are addressed.
In the last chapter a research about which is the most common type of acne,
the average age of manifestation ,the most common treatment followed and its
outcomes are addressed
