Ανάπτυξη μεθοδολογίας για το σχεδιασμό συστημάτων αυτοματισμού διεργασιών με τη χρήση συστημάτων SCADA (Bachelor thesis)

The context of this thesis is the development of methods and analysis of existing standards that are used for the design and construction of automation systems based on SCADA architecture.
The document is divided into chapters depending on the subject which is covered. Initially the first chapter deals with the analysis of standard ISA-5.1 – 1984 and how it is used to design and represent automation systems. Also in the thesis it’s shown how the OPC standard evolved through time and what possibilities it offers in the networking of automation systems. Subsequently various development platforms of SCADA systems from different manufacturers and are described along with the main differences between them. Finally a set of examples related to the development of different SCADA systems are presented using the iFix platform.
