The subject of this paper is the osteoarthritis of the hip and the conservative and surgical treatment of it. This condition is a chronic degenerative joint disease characterized by degenerative changes in the articular surfaces of the hip as well as inflammation in the area. Osteoarthritis is becoming one of the most common areas of degenerative arthropathy of the lower limbs and the most common arthritic disease of the hip as it is estimated to affect about 43 million people per year with a continuously increasing number. Most people over the age of 60 suffer from osteoarthritis, but it is not at all a rare occurrence in younger people. Studies have shown that patients with osteoarthritis have a significantly lower quality of life compared to normal individuals as a direct impact on business activities in daily life of the individual and, by extension, on the family and the state budget. The swift and efficient recovery of the disease can solve multiple problems. The purpose of the therapeutic approach is the restoration of a functional kinetic model because each joint with irregular kinetic model is led to degeneration and destruction. In part A there is a specialized analysis on the anatomical and physiological elements of the hip. In the second part there is a general report on the condition of osteoarthritis as far as it concerns the causes of it, the clinical picture of its symptoms and recovery methods. In the third part the operation of total hip arthroplasty is described. In D part physiotherapy intervention in total hip replacement is analysed.
