Reflexology is a method based on applying pressure and massaging the reflex points of the hands and feet. It is considered a holistic treatment because it treats the person as a whole.
The treatment of pain was the first reason why the modern reflexology was applied. The reflexologists are trying to find and treat the cause of pain, since the aim of holistic therapy is to solve the fundamental problem and not just to relieve the symptoms.
With stimulation points corresponding to musculoskeletal system are treated problems related to the spine, shoulders, neck, chest, to carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and many other musculoskeletal disorders.

| Abstract: | Η ρεφλεξολογία είναι μια μέθοδος που στηρίζεται στην εφαρμογή πιέσεων και μαλάξεων στα αντανακλαστικά σημεία των χεριών και των ποδιών. Θεωρείται μια ολιστική θεραπεία διότι αντιμετωπίζει το άτομο ως ολότητα.
Η αντιμετώπιση του πόνου ήταν ο πρώτος λόγος για τον οποίο εφαρμόστηκε η σύγχρονη ρεφλεξολογία. Οι ρεφλεξολόγοι προσπαθούν να βρουν και να θεραπεύσουν την αιτία του πόνου, μια και ο σκοπός της ολιστικής θεραπείας είναι να λύνει το βασικό πρόβλημα και όχι απλώς να ανακουφίζει τα συμπτώματα.
Με την διέγερση σημείων που αντιστοιχούν στο μυοσκελετικό σύστημα θεραπεύονται προβλήματα που αφορούν στη σπονδυλική στήλη, στους ώμους, στον αυχένα, στο θώρακα, σε σύνδρομο καρπιαίου σωλήνα, αρθρίτιδα και σε πολλές άλλες μυοσκελετικές παθήσεις.
