Reflexology is a method based on applying pressure and massaging the reflex points of the hands and feet. It is considered a holistic treatment because it treats the person as a whole. The treatment of pain was the first reason why the modern reflexology was applied. The reflexologists are trying to find and treat the cause of pain, since the aim of holistic therapy is to solve the fundamental problem and not just to relieve the symptoms. With stimulation points corresponding to musculoskeletal system are treated problems related to the spine, shoulders, neck, chest, to carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and many other musculoskeletal disorders.
