Health related quality of life refers to the well-being which is interpreted as the combination of objective and subjective factors in the individual’s life. The contribution of psychology , economy, and sociology were significant in its definition, considering it as a multi-dimensional phenomenon. Multiple theorems have been suggested ,some of which are targeting the psychological factors, whereas others target the social-culture ones Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is the comparison of quality of life among patients with cancer and diabetes mellitus type 2 under chemotherapy and patients with cancer under chemotherapy in general hospital Papageorgiou. It will also investigate the effect of some demographic and clinical characteristics in quality of life. Methodology: In this thesis, it was made a comparison of quality of life among patients with cancer and diabetes mellitus type 2 under chemotherapy and patients with cancer under chemotherapy in general hospital Papageorgiou. The method used to analyze the data, was quantitative statistical analysis and the data was collected using closed-end questionnaires. Results: The results showed that the factors that affect patients of this investigation is the general state of health, their educational level, the monthly income, the previous treatment, the level of glycosylated hemoglobin, their treatment, the years of diagnosis with diabetes, the marital status, the degree of malignancy and finally, their treatment. Conclusions: These patients require a more personalized and holistic care. The present study aims to present the appropriate therapeutic interventions to improve the quality of life but also to highlight the key determinants of healthrelated quality of life. .
