The subject of this project is the Social Cooperative Enterprises, their role in the modern economy as well as to track down the possible problems they face. This writing consists of six chapters and at the end is set out as an annex the law of Social Cooperative Enterprises in Greece. Firstly, the first (1) chapter , refers to Social Economy and Social Economy Organizations. Subsequently, the second (2) chapter , due to the fact that Social Cooperative Enterprises are enterprises, is analyzed the definition of the enterprise and discrimination of enterprise. Instantly, the third (3) chapter, refers to the turn of enterprises to corporate responsibility, pros and cons of corporate responsibility, but also the principles of social enterprises. Moving forward, in the fourth (4) chapter, an extensive reference is made of for cooperatives, the purposes of them and their principles. Then, the five (5) chapter, consists of all the remaining information about social cooperative enterprises, the benefits of their establishment, but also the obstacles to their development in Greece. Finally, in the six (6) chapter, some studies are being done, for some social cooperative enterprises.
