Pregnancy is a natural condition that causes normal changes in the physiology of the pregnant woman, including changes to the coagulation system. The process of haemostasis is complex and is further complicated in the parturient because of the physiological changes of pregnancy. There are diseases that cause bleeding disorders during antenatal, at birth and postnatal period. The objective of this study is to guide diagnosis and management of patients with bleeding disorders. This study attempts to highlight those specific defects and provide scientifically accepted methods of treating and care of such cases during pregnancy, at birth and postnatal period. The method that has been used in this study is the literature review. Within the framework of Midwifery, the most significant anomalies of clotting mechanism are recorded in order to provide evidence based treating methods for the mother and her baby
