Γεωργιτζίκη, Αποστολία/ Κούτουλα, Στεφανία - Όλγα

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the use of tattoo in medicine. In order to improve and correct specific diseases and dermatological problems, for example scars, an esthetician can apply permanent make up. Initially, the definition of tattoo will be analyzed and its evolution throughout history will be presented. Moreover, the types and methods will be highlighted, as well as colors and pigments that are used. As long as the risks and factors are understood, the process of applying medical permanent make up will be described in detail. Finally, the esthetician must know which diseases and scars can be corrected and also take into consideration the tattoo removal process and the law regulations in Greece. This study will provide the “therapeutic” value of medical permanent make up. An individual can improve its appearance by this method, which can also have a positive impact to its psychology. In general, tattoo is an art that constantly evolves and overtakes the world of beauty.
