Introduction: Hypoglycemia is a crucial factor hindering the treatment of diabetes type 1 and type 2 diabetes insoulinotherapefomenou, often characterized by the inability of hypoglycaemia perception. Prevention of hypoglycemia, as well as proper glycemic control are particularly important in the treatment of diabetes and improve patient quality of life. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the symptoms of hypoglycemia in patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 and Type 2 and how this affects their quality of life. Specifically, patients record their concerns and show the change brought about in their behavior, the risk of hypoglycaemia thus altering their quality of life. Material and method: With respect to the sampling method used by the sampling block, wherein the sample is made up of units of the population who have congenital between characteristics. More specifically, the sample consists of a total of 107 patients diagnosed with Type I diabetes mellitus (CAC) and Type II (SDII). The data were then analyzed with the statistical program Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21.0. Results: There is a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of patients to the measures taken to avoid hypoglycemia and its consequences. Patients with CAC reduced to a greater extent the dose of insulin in low blood sugar, and also measured the blood sugar 6 or more / day to a greater extent than patients with SDII. To a greater extent patients with CAC maintained higher blood sugar than usual when undertook important tasks. Differences observed and the concern expressed by respondents. Patients with CAC, to a greater extent than patients with SDII, due to their possible hypoglycemia were worried develop hypoglycemia while driving, do take bad rating or judged negatively, but does cause permanent damage to their health or injury to themselves. In contrast, patients with SDII left to a greater extent in the home than they wanted than patients with CAC. Statistically significant differences are presented in the questionnaire for assessing quality of life of patients with diabetes. If you do not have diabetes, patients with CAC declared that their family life would be better, and while their relationship with the friendly and broader social environment would be better to a greater extent than patients with SDII. In contrast, patients with SDII felt if not suffering from diabetes need to depend on others for things they would like to do it alone would have been reduced to a greater extent than patients with CAC. Conclusions:Diabetes mellitus is a disease that involves both the patients themselves, and the health care system, and society as a whole. Also, hypoglycemia is a crucial factor blocking therapy of type 1 diabetes and insoulinotherapefomenou type 2 diabetes, which is often characterized by the inability of hypoglycaemia perception. Simultaneously, the disease affects dramatically the quality of life of patients. Prevention of hypoglycemia, as well as proper glycemic control are particularly important in the treatment of diabetes. Therefore, it is necessary to treat both diabetes and hypoglycemia collectively in Greece, but also at international level.
