Προσωπικότητες της Θεσσαλονίκης 1912 – 2014 (Bachelor thesis)

This diploma thesis was conducted within the framework of the program of the 6th semester of the
Department of Library and Information Systems of the Alexandrian Technological Educational
Institute of Thessaloniki. The aim of the work is designing a website under the name "Famous
People of Thessaloniki 1912-2014".
The reason why this topic was chosen for the dissertation is on the one hand, its uniqueness and
originality, on the other hand, my particular interest in the city of Thessaloniki, its history and the
personalities that contributed to its cultural development.
Initially, the theoretical part of the work will be presented, the selection of the personalities that
were collected, the creation of categories, the criteria for their selection and the biographies that
accompany them.
Next, the design of the site, its structure analysis and the way it is constructed will be presented.
A step-by-step description of how the site was constructed with the help of the open source content
management system, Wordpress, will be presented in detail, as well as the hosting services.
Finally, there will follow printed pages of the website and the final conclusions of the dissertation,
in addition to the bibliographic sources that were used and registered by the APA (American
Psychological Association) Citing Style.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία πραγματοποιήθηκε στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος σπουδών του
ΣΤ’ εξαμήνου του τμήματος Βιβλιοθηκονομίας & Συστημάτων Πληροφόρησης του Αλεξάνδρειου
Τεχνολογικού Εκπαιδευτηρίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η δημιουργία ενός
δικτυακού τόπου και ο τίτλος της «Προσωπικότητες της Θεσσαλονίκης 1912-2014».
Ο λόγος που επιλέχθηκε το παραπάνω θέμα για την εκπόνηση της πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι
αφενός η πρωτοτυπία, αφετέρου το ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον προς την πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης, την
ιστορία της και τις προσωπικότητες που συνέβαλαν στην πολιτιστική της ανάπτυξη.
Αρχικά θα παρουσιασθεί το θεωρητικό μέρος της εργασίας, η επιλογή των προσωπικοτήτων οι
οποίες συλλέχθηκαν, η δημιουργία κατηγοριών, τα κριτήρια επιλογής τους καθώς και το
βιογραφικό που τις συνοδεύει.
Στη συνέχεια, θα παρουσιασθεί ο σχεδιασμός του ιστοτόπου , η ανάλυση της δομής του καθώς
και ο τρόπος κατασκευής του.
Θα περιγραφεί βήμα-βήμα το πως κατασκευάστηκε ο ιστότοπος παρουσιάζοντας λεπτομερώς το
ανοιχτού κώδικα σύστημα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου, Wordpress, το οποίο έδρασε καταλυτικά
στη δημιουργία του αλλά και τα μέσα φιλοξενίας του στο Internet. Τέλος θα ακολουθήσουν
εκτυπωμένες σελίδες του ιστότοπου, τα τελικά συμπεράσματα της πτυχιακής εργασίας και οι
βιβλιογραφικές πηγές που συντάχθηκαν με το πρότυπο APA (American Psychological
Association 6
