Website design and implementation for the Children’s Library of Kallithea (Bachelor thesis)

The current thesis analyzes and describes the creation of the website for the library of
Kallithea for children and young adults. The website was designed and developed using
WordPress. At first, information is provided about the aims of libraries for children and young
adults in general and about the role of the librarian in a library for children and young adults.
Subsequently, some information on the function and some of the activities of the library of
Kallithea for children and young adults are displayed. In addition, the thesis lists guidelines and
tips on website design for a library for children and young adults and summarizes information on
using WordPress and its functions, with step by step analysis of the website design process. The
website contains basic information about the library, as well as news, activities and other key
elements to inform the public.
