Χέιρ, Κατερίνα-Αμάλ
Five national drinks were analyzed by gas chromatography using Flame Ionization
detector. These are Αrak drink which is produced in Middle East and is considered
the national drink of Irak, of Syria and Lebanon, the drink Becherovka which is
produced in Czech Republic, the drink Genever of Holland, the drink Luzxu of
China and finally Tsipouro of Volos, a drink made in Greece. Furthermore, at the
following work details of the production procedure of each of these drinks is
presented. The basic principles of the technique of Gas Chromatography which is
applied for the chemical analysis of these drinks will be introduced.
Moreover, the analytical results of the analysis of chemical ingredients present in
these drinks which are detected using the method of gas chromatography. Finally, the
concentrations of all these ingredients will be illustrated through adequate graphics.
