Σχεδίαση και κατασκευή συσκευής κίνησης τεχνητού άκρου μέσω ηλεκτρικών εγκεφαλικών σημάτων και έλεγχος του με χρήση μικροελεγκτή. (Bachelor thesis)

Καλαϊτζή, Μαρία

This study is part of my thesis, which will be presented for the undergraduate curriculum of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. The issue concerns the emergence of bioelectric signals so as to perform an activity. In this project, the signal obtained from the brain, once filtered and amplified by an appropriate circuit triggers the microcontroller, which is programmed to perform an activity. The activity is effected by the movement of an artificial limb, in essence a robotic arm. This structure will enable individuals with disabilities to perform their daily needs in order to facilitate their lives and gain greater autonomy. I hope, that this innovation will be cause for greater motivation in the field of the medical sector to be researched and to make more technological advances. In this project, Ι was given the opportunity to expand my knowledge in the medical technology sector and to discover the endless possibilities and applications of this sector. I hope, this study will give me a chance in the future to deal with this subject on a professional basis.
