Μελέτη χρήσης Μέσων Κοινωνικής Δικτύωσης στην Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση (Master thesis)

With the growth and popularity of web 2.0 and networking services a new world of
communication and collaboration has been created. More than one billion users around the
world connect and communicate with each other, create, compare and contribute with
knowledge and insights to each other. This senior thesis presents a study on the use of Social
Media Networks in Secondary Education, especially Facebook, as most students are already
users of this medium and are familiar with the possibilities offered to them. It investigates
whether Facebook can be used and encourage the active participation of distance learners'
communication. As it turned out, Facebook's structure can provide the tools needed to
effectively and qualitatively support learning. The method chosen was the use of
questionnaires for both students and teachers, interviews from the teachers and then the
analysis of the results.
