This thesis aims at bringing back to operating condition the laboratory educational system that demonstrates the function of Anti-lock Braking System. In order to achieve that, we have to understand how the system works, by analyzing and studying both the system and the way it controls its peripheral devices. The thesis is divided into two parts. The study of the system takes place in Part 1 and the repair of the laboratory educational system is analyzed in part 2. The ABS, or Anti-lock Braking System, is classified as an active safety system, in other words it prevents the vehicle from being involved in an accident. ABS is responsible for maintaining adequate traction between the tires and the road by preventing a sudden stop of the wheels rotation under vehicle's deceleration, which can occur when braking under extreme conditions, such as panic braking and braking on slippery roads.
