Μακιγιάζ και καλλυντικά στην Αφρικανική Ήπειρο (Bachelor thesis)

This Diploma Thesis refers to cosmetic products and makeup in countries of the African continent. More specifically, in the first chapter is a retrospective of ancient Egypt and the invention of many cosmetics, the use of make-up and the placement process, the choice of colors and the manufacture of cosmetics. Then there is a reference to modern Egypt in which there are few differences in makeup according to the standards of Western civilization. In the second chapter there is information about the Zulu tribe, their daily routine, their customs and traditions, and finally the use of face and body makeup according to circumstances. The third chapter is dedicated to Morocco and its particular culture. Henna and kohl play a major role, and many cosmetic products globally recognizable as rose water and argan oil are produced in this country. The fourth chapter mentions the Masai tribe and their peculiarities. Their lifestyle, their characteristics that make them different from other races, makeup and scarring on their skin. The fifth and final chapter is dedicated to African cosmetics and their properties. Many of them are widely used around the world.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα Πτυχιακή Εργασία αναφέρεται στα καλλυντικά προϊόντα και το μακιγιάζ σε χώρες της Αφρικανικής Ηπείρου. Πιο συγκεκριμένα στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται μια αναδρομή στην αρχαία Αίγυπτο και την εφεύρεση πολλών καλλυντικών, τη χρήση του μακιγιάζ και τη διαδικασία τοποθέτησης, την επιλογή των χρωμάτων και την παρασκευή των καλλυντικών. Στη συνέχεια αναφέρεται στη σύγχρονη Αίγυπτο, στην οποία υπάρχουν ελάχιστες διαφορές στο μακιγιάζ σύμφωνα με τα πρότυπα του Δυτικού πολιτισμού. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο υπάρχουν πληροφορίες για την φυλή των Ζουλού, την καθημερινότητα τους, τα έθιμα και τις παραδόσεις τους και τέλος την χρήση μακιγιάζ σε πρόσωπο και σώμα αναλόγως των περιστάσεων. Το τρίτο κεφάλαιο είναι αφιερωμένο στο Μαρόκο και στον ιδιαίτερο πολιτισμό του. Σημαντικό ρόλο έχει η χέννα και το «kohl» ενώ πολλά καλλυντικά προϊόντα παγκοσμίως αναγνωρίσιμα όπως το ροδόνερο και το έλαιο αργκάν παράγονται στο σε αυτή τη χώρα. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο αναφέρεται η φυλή των Μασάι και οι δικές τους ιδιαιτερότητες. Ο τρόπος ζωής τους, τα χαρακτηριστικά που τους κάνουν να διαφέρουν από άλλες φυλές, το μακιγιάζ και η χάραξη ουλών στο δέρμα τους. Το πέμπτο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο είναι αφιερωμένο στα καλλυντικά της Αφρικής και τις ιδιότητες τους. Πολλά από αυτά χρησιμοποιούνται ευρέως σε όλο τον κόσμο.
