This Diploma Thesis refers to cosmetic products and makeup in countries of the African continent. More specifically, in the first chapter is a retrospective of ancient Egypt and the invention of many cosmetics, the use of make-up and the placement process, the choice of colors and the manufacture of cosmetics. Then there is a reference to modern Egypt in which there are few differences in makeup according to the standards of Western civilization. In the second chapter there is information about the Zulu tribe, their daily routine, their customs and traditions, and finally the use of face and body makeup according to circumstances. The third chapter is dedicated to Morocco and its particular culture. Henna and kohl play a major role, and many cosmetic products globally recognizable as rose water and argan oil are produced in this country. The fourth chapter mentions the Masai tribe and their peculiarities. Their lifestyle, their characteristics that make them different from other races, makeup and scarring on their skin. The fifth and final chapter is dedicated to African cosmetics and their properties. Many of them are widely used around the world.
