This paper attempts a holistic approach to human resources management in the hospitality industry to study the basic functions of the Human Resources Management. For this purpose, a literature review in the context of the administration of human resources by hotel units was conducted, focusing on procedures to be followed in order to be effective. In more detail, in the first chapter of this thesis the concept of Human Resources Management, the key objectives set and the functions handled by the Human Resources Administration sections in the hospitality industry are studied in theoretical background. The second chapter analyzes the programming following the Administration Department of Human Resources, to make a proper distribution of human resources jobs to achieve the key objectives of the company. Next, the third chapter, theoretically approaches the process and attracting sources of human resources that will staff the hotel unit. The fourth chapter deals with the methodology and training systems followed by the hotel business in order to sufficiently train its staff for it to be effective in the achievement of competence objectives in line within the in-company philosophy, highlighting the importance of its implementation. Finally, the content of the fifth chapter is based on the assessment of full mobility and performance of human resources, drawn up on the basis of certain systems, thus acquiring a formal and objective character.
