Προσδοκίες και απόψεις των προσφύγων για την ένταξη των παιδιών τους στην ελληνική εκπαίδευση (Master thesis)

The specific research work is an attempt to investigate and raise the expectations and perceptions of the refugees who remain in our country, permanently or temporarily, about the Greek education and the participation of their children in it. The Greek state, following international conventions on the education of refugees, provides them with various forms of education from 2016 onwards (registration in morning classes of general education, afternoon classes, reception classes, hospitality training). The present work, after recording the efforts made by the Greek state to integrate refugees into our education system as well as the actions and the legislative framework created for this purpose, examines the views of the refugees themselves for inclusion of children in Greek education. For this purpose, a primary survey is conducted on the basis of a questionnaire given to refugees and an initial approach is made to the problems that refugees' children face when joining Greek education, their degree of participation and the expectations they have. Also, the aim of this work is to explore and highlight the views of the refugees on the necessity of their children's participation in Greek education. Finally, this work aims to contribute to the disclosure and understanding of the views of refugees on the content of the studies that their children would like to have during their stay in our country. Understanding the difficulties and problems they face, as well as the expectations of refugees from Greek education, can help to better manage their integration into our education system.
