Thermal tourism is a new type of alternative tourism that has been known since antiquity. Particularly in Greece, the areas that had spas were a source of attraction for visitors, as the healing properties of medicinal waters were known from ancient times. Lagada Baths date back to 900 AD and are one of the country's most important thermal springs. At present, the municipal enterprise that exploits the baths is trying to evolve to attract more tourists, which is quite important for the local community.
