Introduction: Continuing nursing education programs are usually designed to maintain or increase relevant professional knowledge or technical skills.
Purpose: This is a research paper aimed at investigating the degree of satisfaction of nurses working in state-controlled nursing institutions in the Greek region, specifically in the Municipality of Thessaloniki, from their participation in lifelong learning programs. In addition, a secondary objective is to investigate the parameters that shape the level of satisfaction of nurses from their participation in lifelong learning programs.
Results: It was found that gender, age, years of work experience and marital status are not factors that significantly affect the general satisfaction of participants' educational needs from continuing education programs
Conclusions: The development of educational programs based on the actual needs after research on the motivational factors is considered necessary. Participation in continuing nursing programs contributes to improving nursing care, can reduce costs, increase productivity, minimize accidents and medical and pharmaceutical errors, and reduce work-related stress.

| Abstract: | Εισαγωγή: Τα προγράμματα συνεχιζόμενης επαγγελματικής εκπαίδευσης είναι συνήθως σχεδιασμένα για να διατηρούν ή να αυξάνουν τις σχετικές επαγγελματικές γνώσεις ή τεχνικές δεξιότητες.
Σκοπός: Η παρούσα είναι μια ερευνητική εργασία που στοχεύει στην διερεύνηση του βαθμού ικανοποίηση των Νοσηλευτών που εργάζονται σε κρατικά ελεγχόμενα νοσηλευτικά ιδρύματα της ελληνικής περιφέρειας και συγκεκριμένα στον Δήμο Θεσσαλονίκης, από την συμμετοχή τους σε προγράμματα διά Βίου Μάθηση. Επιπλέον ως δευτερεύοντας στόχος τίθεται η διερεύνηση των παραμέτρων που διαμορφώνουν τον βαθμό ικανοποίησης των νοσηλευτών από την συμμετοχή τους σε προγράμματα δια βίου μάθησης.
Αποτελέσματα: Διαπιστώθηκε ότι το φύλο, η ηλικία, η προϋπηρεσία και η οικογενειακή κατάσταση δεν είναι παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν σημαντικά τη γενική ικανοποίηση των Εκπαιδευτικών Αναγκών των συμμετεχόντων, από τα Προγράμματα Δια Βίου Μάθησης.
Συμπεράσματα: Η ανάπτυξη εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων βασισμένων σε πραγματικές ανάγκες μετά από έρευνα των παρακινητικών παραγόντων θεωρείται απαραίτητη. Η συμμετοχή στα προγράμματα συνεχιζόμενης νοσηλευτικής εκπαίδευσης συμβάλλει στη βελτίωση της νοσηλευτικής φροντίδας. μπορεί να μειώσει το κόστος, να αυξήσει την παραγωγικότητα, να ελαχιστοποιήσει τα ατυχήματα και τα ιατρικά και φαρμακευτικά λάθη και να μειώσει το εργασιακό άγχος.
