Ο ρόλος του διευθυντή στην Ελλάδα και οι κύριες πηγές εργασιακού άγχους του. (Master thesis)

In the general frame of changes and reconsideration, school should take into account the new data and be released from its traditional structure. The Greek educational system which is centralized, affects all the people who work at school or for school. Thus, it also affects the school principal role. The principal has the role of a maker, a commander, an instructor, a trainer and a teacher. He supervises, checks, leads, trains both students and teachers on the other hand, he functions as a bureaucrat as well, which in many cases leads to a role mix-up. In this project, we will describe the administrative frame work of our educational system and the principal’s status and role in it. Then, a bibliographic review of the main factors that cause anxiety to the principals will follow. In the second part of this project, the results of a survey carried out on 20 principals of secondary education in Ioannina, are shown. The survey method chosen, was the structured interview so that the principals could freely express their point of view. The project ends with the anxiety treatment strategies employed by the interviewed principals.

| Abstract: | Μέσα στο γενικότερο κλίμα των μεταβολών και αναθεωρήσεων, το σχολείο θα πρέπει να
λάβει υπόψη του τα νέα δεδομένα και να αποδεσμευτεί από τις παραδοσιακές δομές του. Το
ελληνικό εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα είναι συγκεντρωτικό και αυτό επηρεάζει όλους όσοι
εργάζονται στο σχολείο ή για το σχολείο. Έτσι, λοιπόν, επηρεάζει και τη θέση και το ρόλο
των διευθυντών των σχολικών μονάδων. Ο διευθυντής έχει το ρόλο του διαμορφωτή, του
διοικητή, του καθοδηγητή, του επιμορφωτή και του δασκάλου. Επιβλέπει, ελέγχει,
καθοδηγεί, επιμορφώνει τόσο τους μαθητές όσο και τους εκπαιδευτικούς. Από την άλλη
πλευρά, λειτουργεί και σαν γραφειοκράτης με αποτέλεσμα πολλές φορές ο ρόλος του να
συγχέεται.
Στην παρούσα εργασία, θα περιγράψουμε το διοικητικό πλαίσιο του εκπαιδευτικού
μας συστήματος και τη θέση και το ρόλο του διευθυντή σε αυτό. Έπειτα, θα γίνει μία
βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση των κύριων παραγόντων που δημιουργούν άγχος στους
διευθυντές. Στο δεύτερο μέρος της εργασίας αυτής, παρουσιάζονται τα αποτελέσματα της
έρευνας που διεξήχθη σε 20 διευθυντές της δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης του νομού
Ιωαννίνων. Σαν ερευνητικό εργαλείο επιλέχθηκε η δομημένη συνέντευξη, ώστε οι διευθυντές
να εκφράσουν τις απόψεις τους ελεύθερα και αβίαστα. Η έρευνα κλείνει με τις στρατηγικές
αντιμετώπισης του άγχους που χρησιμοποιούν οι συνεντευξιαζόμενοι διευθυντές.
