Ο έλεγχος και η ποιότητα στην μεταδευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση: Η περίπτωση του Νομού Κοζάνης (Bachelor thesis)

The ongoing evolution that is happening worldwide has led to the need of a change in school environment and its management. The educational organizations should evolve in “smart schools”, targeting the harmonization with the new standards. The total quality management in education is one way towards this change. The economic crises has as a consequence the lack of funds given for education in Greece and especially in the field of vocational training, which has as a result the creation of many problems. The goal of this research is to look into the views of adult educators concerning the quality of education in Public Institutions of Vocational Training in the municipality of Kozani. The method used is quantitative research. The sample involved 149 adult educators, who are working in Public Institutions of Vocational Training in the municipality of Kozani. The results showed that there is a positive outcome concerning the organization of the educational procedure in schools of this municipality although the results are not the same on the more practical issues of the school itself. Furthermore, the quality measurement is not very popular and the educators seem to be torn between the contribution of various factors of control and the assurance of quality and also in the contribution of control and if it can lead to a proper function of the school system. However, the conduction of the research with a bigger sample is the only way to have proper deductions, which could be generalized.
