The rapid technological and scientific development, as well as the pursuit of great
economic gain have led the planet into a major ecological disaster, which for many is
without reversal. Climate change, air, soil and water pollution, the ozone hole and the
depletion of natural resources are just some of the indicative environmental problems that
are plaguing our world. The threat comes from the human being, so the responsibility of
the person is to take immediate measures to solve the environmental problems that are
becoming ever more acute.
Environmental Education as a program means a set of activities that translate into practice
the objectives of environmental education, the acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes
and behaviors that are in accordance with its spirit. Education and Learning can happen
anywhere, anytime, for everybody. During play, study, entertainment, travel and
exploration.
Imagine a school where kids learn how to unlock their creativity. Imagine a school where
kids-students «Learn how to learn».

| Abstract: | Η ραγδαία τεχνολογική και επιστημονική ανάπτυξη, καθώς και η επιδίωξη μεγάλου
οικονομικού κέρδους έχουν οδηγήσει τον πλανήτη σε μεγάλη οικολογική καταστροφή,
που για πολλούς είναι χωρίς αντιστροφή. Η Κλιματική αλλαγή, η ρύπανση του αέρα, του
εδάφους και του νερού, η τρύπα του όζοντος και η εξάντληση των φυσικών πόρων είναι
μερικά μόνο ενδεικτικά περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα που ταλανίζουν τον κόσμο μας. Η
απειλή προέρχεται από τον άνθρωπο οπότε η ευθύνη του ανθρώπου είναι η άμεση λήψη
σοβαρών μέτρων για την επίλυση των περιβαλλοντικών προβλημάτων που γίνονται
συνεχώς οξύτερα.
Η Περιβαλλοντική Εκπαίδευση ως πρόγραμμα εννοείται ένα σύνολο δραστηριοτήτων, οι
οποίες μεταφράζουν σε πράξη τους στόχους της περιβαλλοντικής εκπαίδευσης, δηλαδή
την κατάκτηση γνώσεων, ικανοτήτων, στάσεων και συμπεριφορών, σύμφωνων με το
πνεύμα της. Η Εκπαίδευση και η Μάθηση μπορούν να διενεργηθούν παντού και πάντα για
τον καθένα. Κατά τη διάρκεια του παιχνιδιού (παιγνιώδης μάθηση), της μελέτης, ενός
ψυχαγωγικού εκπαιδευτικού ταξιδιού και ανακάλυψης.
Ας φανταστούμε ένα σχολείο όπου τα παιδιά-μαθητές μαθαίνουν πώς να ξεκλειδώνουν απελευθερώνουν τη δημιουργικότητα τους. Ας φανταστούμε ένα σχολείο όπου τα παιδιά
θα «μαθαίνουν πώς να μαθαίνουν».
