Συμβατική και βιολογική καλλιέργεια μηλιάς στην περιοχή Πηλίου νομού Μαγνησίας (Bachelor thesis)

The main goal of the present thesis dissertation is to examine the conventional
and organic apple cultivation in the area of Pelion in the Prefecture of Magnesia. In the
beginning, in the first chapter the geographic area of Pelion is described, including its
specific features and topography. In the next chapters, the different varieties of apples
are described (chapter 2), the conventional cultivation practises such as the pest
management (chapter 3) and the organic cultivation of apples including the
corresponding rules (chapter 4). The post harvest methodologies of apples are described
in the fifth chapter, whereas the data of the global, the European Union and the Greek
production are reported in the sixth chapter. In the same chapter some more precise data
regarding the area of Pelion are also reported, as well the problems and perspectives of
the apple cultivation. Finally, in the seventh chapter, the conclusion drawn by the
present thesis are discussed.

| Abstract: | Στην παρούσα πτυχιακή διατριβή εξετάζεται η συμβατική και βιολογική
καλλιέργεια μηλιάς στην περιοχή του Πηλίου του νομού Μαγνησίας. Αρχικά, στο
πρώτο κεφάλαιο, γίνεται μια αναφορά στην ιδιομορφία και τα χαρακτηριστικά της
γεωγραφικής περιοχής του Πηλίου του νομού Μαγνησίας. Στα επόμενα κεφάλαια
περιγράφεται η μηλιά και οι ποικιλίες της (κεφάλαιο 2), η συμβατική της καλλιέργεια
συμπεριλαμβανομένων των καλλιεργητικών πρακτικών, όπως κλάδεμα και
αντιμετώπιση εχθρών, ασθενειών και ζιζανίων (κεφάλαιο 3) και η βιολογική της
καλλιέργεια με τους κανονισμούς που τη διέπουν (κεφάλαιο 4). Στο επόμενο πέμπτο
κεφάλαιο περιγράφονται οι πολύ σημαντικές μέθοδοι μετασυλλεκτικής διαχείρισης της
μηλιάς, ενώ στο έκτο κεφάλαιο δίνονται τα παγκόσμια παραγωγικά στοιχεία
παραγωγής μήλων, αλλά και εκείνα της Ευρωπαικής Ένωσης και πιο συγκεκριμένα της
χώρας μας. Στο ίδιο κεφάλαιο δίνονται τα παραγωγικά στοιχεία της παραγωγής από το
Πήλιο, ενώ γίνεται και εκτενής συζήτηση του Αγροτικού Συνεταιρισμού Ζαγοράς
Πηλίου, των ποικιλιών που εκμεταλλεύεται και των μεταποιημένων προϊόντων που
παράγει. Επίσης πραγματοποιείται αναφορά σε ενδεχόμενα προβλήματα και προοπτικές
του κλάδου. Στο έβδομο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο συζητούνται κάποια γενικά
συμπεράσματα που προκύπτουν από την παρούσα διατριβή.
