Η συμβολή της κλωστοϋφαντουργίας στην οικονομία και το εργοστάσιο " ΕΠΙΛΕΚΤΟΣ" (Bachelor thesis)

With the present thesis, my aim is to explore the influence of the textile industry on the global as well as the domestic economy and to present the operation of a cotton processing factory, the factory “Epilektos”.
In the introductory chapter, I generally referred to the textile sector and its activities and I made a historical overview of the textile industry over the years. I also presented the countries that are considered the pillars for exporting textiles in today’s era.
In the first chapter, in order to examine the influence of this industry on the global economy, I decided to analyze each of the countries I mentioned above, which earn billion of dollars from exports of textile products.
In the second chapter, I decided to overview the history of our country’s textile industry, its impact on the economy during the years of its development and how much it was affected during the economic crisis.
In the third chapter, observing that our country is largely supported by cotton exports, I decided to refer to cotton as species and to analyze its cultivation worldwide as well as in Greece.
In the fourth chapter, in order to analyze more closely the textile sector in our country, I chose to present the factory “Epilektos” and to assay both its mode of operation and its financial situation from the beginning of its operation to the present day.
Finally, in the fifth chapter, I analyzed the conclusions from the bibliographic survey, and I came up with the conclusion of my dissertation thesis.

| Abstract: | Στόχος μου με την παρούσα πτυχιακή είναι να διερευνήσω την επιρροή του τομέα της κλωστοϋφαντουργίας στην παγκόσμια αλλά και εγχώρια οικονομία και να παρουσιάσω τη λειτουργία ενός εργοστασίου επεξεργασίας βαμβακιού στη χώρα μας, το εργοστάσιο «Επίλεκτος».
Στο εισαγωγικό κεφάλαιο, αναφέρθηκα γενικά στον τομέα της κλωστοϋφαντουργίας, στις δραστηριότητες που περιλαμβάνει, καθώς επίσης έκανα και μια ιστορική ανασκόπηση του τομέα κατά το πέρασμα των χρόνων. Ακόμη, παρουσίασα τις χώρες οι οποίες αποτελούν τους πυλώνες εξαγωγής κλωστοϋφαντουργικών προϊόντων στη σημερινή εποχή.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο, για να εξετάσω την επιρροή της βιομηχανίας στην οικονομία σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, αποφάσισα να αναλύσω κάθε μία από τις χώρες που ανέφερα, οι οποίες αποκομίζουν δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια το χρόνο από τις εξαγωγές των συγκεκριμένων προϊόντων.
Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο, αποφάσισα να εξετάσω την ιστορία της κλωστοϋφαντουργίας της χώρας μας μέσα στα χρόνια, το πόσο επηρέασε την οικονομία της χώρας στα χρόνια της ανάπτυξής της αλλά και το πόσο επηρεάστηκε ο τομέας κατά την οικονομική κρίση.
Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο, παρατηρώντας ότι η χώρα μας υποστηρίζεται σε μεγάλο βαθμό από τις εξαγωγές βαμβακιού, αποφάσισα να αναφερθώ στο βαμβάκι σαν είδος αλλά και να αναλύσω την καλλιέργειά του παγκοσμίως αλλά και στη χώρα μας.
Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο, για να αναλύσω πιο διεξοδικά τον τομέα της κλωστοϋφαντουργίας στη χώρα μας, επέλεξα να παρουσιάσω το εργοστάσιο «Επίλεκτος» και να αναλύσω τόσο τον τρόπο λειτουργίας του, όσο και την οικονομική του κατάσταση από την αρχή της λειτουργίας του μέχρι σήμερα.
Τέλος, στο πέμπτο κεφάλαιο ανέλυσα τα αποτελέσματα από τη βιβλιογραφική επισκόπηση και κατέληξα στα συμπεράσματα της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας.
