In the last decade, e-commerce in Greece has developed and evolved relatively rapidly. The overall objective of this study is to record and investigate the views of e-consumers regarding the impact, damage and potential risks of using e-commerce in Greece. The methodological approach to the research was quantitative, the research was carried out with the probability sampling procedure and one hundred individuals participated. Data were collected using a structured twenty-question questionnaire. The study consists of six chapters. The first chapter presents the definition, types, advantages and disadvantages of e-commerce. Chapter 2 discusses the impact of e-commerce on society, work and skills. The third chapter discusses the potential risks to the environment, health, privacy and security, perceived risks, e-commerce losses at work, shopping malls and small and medium-sized enterprises. Chapter 4 presents e-commerce in Greece up to date. Chapter 5 presents the purpose, sample, and data collection tool. The sixth chapter presents the results, conclusions and limitations of the research. The sample of the survey is of the opinion that e-commerce will not affect the working environment and businesses. It also takes the view that small and medium-sized enterprises are capable of meeting the needs of e-commerce and that physical stores will not be replaced by e-commerce. The sample of the survey also thinks that jobs will be lost and no new jobs will be created.
