Μέθοδοι πολυκριτήριας ανάλυσης αποφάσεων: Παρουσίαση-σύγκριση-εφαρμογή (Bachelor thesis)
Δεληγιάννη, Κορνηλία
Any human problem has a multicriteria nature. In most of cases at least
technological, economic, environmental and social criteria should always be taken
into account. Multicriteria problems are therefore extremely important and request
an appropriate treatment. Decision analysis is a valuable tool for resolving the
problem, as it is characterized by multiple factors, criteria and objectives. MCDM
problems generally include the following components: goal, decision maker
preferences, alternatives, criteria and results respectively.
In this paper we are going to examine some of the main multicreteria decision
making methods thoroughly both from a theoritical and a practical aspect. A part of
this paper is not only to present the methods, but to emphasize the greatness and
the usefulness of them. I aim to present AHP, promethee, Topsis and Vikor by
describing their characteristics including the procedure they use. Furthermore, I
am going to compare all the methods to examine if the final result is the same but
also if the method itself is friendly to the user and provides an accurate solution to
the decision maker.
For making this happen I created my own problem in which the decision maker
has to choose a new smartphone to buy. I searched online and found ten brand
new mobile devices and I set them as my options. After that, I picked seven criteria
in which my problem is going to use, according to the most popular characteristics
a user wants in his cellphone. In the end, I put together all of the information
above. The same information are going to be used to every experiment I make in
any method to find out which smartphone is better for a user.
