A linguistiv aproach : The decision for the brexit -the consequences in the european union & the united kingdom (Bachelor thesis)
Χαρίτος, Παναγιώτης
On the twenty third of June 2016, a referendum of great importance was held in Great Britain. The significance of it was great because this would determine the issue of whether Great Britain would still be a member of the European Union or not. The citizens of the United King-dom were called upon to vote in favor or against the idea of remaining members of the United Europe, based on the idea which had been previously put forward. This was brought about owing to the dissatisfaction felt by the British citizens over the issue of immigration, foreign affairs pol-icy, legislation and generally the overall financial policy on the part of the European Union. A lot of social upheaval, regarding the politico – economic was caused by the oncoming exit. This was not only seen in the setting of Europe, but was also noticed throughout the world mainly because of the uncertainty, which was so profoundly prevalent after the referendum in connection with the consequences and incidentals attributed to it, which may eventually arise in the long run as well as in the short run level. Due to all the above, it is reasonable and it is expected that Europe will be generally affected in all sectors by the consequences of the Brexit.
