The new Erasmus+ programs, with a great history in European reality, provide various opportunities to tertiary institutions and other participating organizations. The benefits, according to the bibliography, are significant not only at a personal and professional level, but also at an institutional and systemic level. The separation of the program into Key Actions 1, 2 and 3 has given also extended possibilities and opportunities. The aim of this thesis is to collect and present facts about the participation of Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (now International Hellenic University – IHU) in Erasmus+ programs during the period 2014-2019, to show how this participation has benefited the Institute and to present some prospects. Specifically, through primary source research of publicly available information, but also through quantitive research with questionnaires, here are highlighted the basic options of the participation of ATEITH at Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 programs. The innovation of this thesis is that it is the first conducted research of this type and there are no aggregated data concerning the overall participation of ATEITH in Erasmus+. Simultaneously, prospects will arise which have not appeared till now. The results of this research may be used for institutional initiatives and strategic development, in order to strengthen the co-operations between different sectors initially and secondly to better disseminate the results.
