Ο ρόλος των δεξιοτήτων στην αγορά εργασίας και η σημασία εξέλιξης και καλλιέργειας τους από τους σπουδαστές στη δευτεροβάθμια και τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση (Master thesis)

The present thesis is the product of an in-depth bibliographic research aimed at exploring and developing the academic and especially the soft skills that young people are required to cultivate during the secondary and tertiary education. The present study makes clear the importance of the role of competences for personal integration and career prospects of young people, by analyzing the interaction and the close connectivity between the first one and the requirements of the labor market. It is such an important sector, with social extensions at the same time, that its recognition turns out by the continued efforts of the European Union, the involved bodies and the actions for their cultivation. Based on studies and ongoing reviews, initiatives are being restructured to improve the results and the effectiveness. Global economic competitiveness puts in place a search engine of best practices for delivering high quality education and training aimed the high efficiency and productivity of young people entering the labor market. These practices do not only constitute the kingpin for improving education and skills development but also for accessing all new independent economies as well as eliminating the effects of early school leaving, the brain drain of scientists and researchers, xenophobia, racism. The influence of the above initiatives and objectives shapes the social cohesion, which is the vision of the Union. Therefore, the Union's actions are analyzed for implementing exchange programs, gaining experience abroad that influence the development of the personality of young people at multidimensional level with the contribution of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development through statistical data.
