The subject of this study is the institution of Service Councils (S.C) and their contribution to the administration of education. Initially, the core faculties of the Administration were analyzed to explore the contribution of the Board of Directors to the administration of education as the collective body of said administration. At the Administrative Pyramid levels of the education system, operate Service Councils. At a central level, central Service Councils operate. At the regional level the Senior Service Councils and at the prefectural level the Regional Service Councils. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the contribution of Secondary Education Secondary Schools (SESS - APYSSE - KYSDE) to the administration of education and the views of the secondary education teachers of the prefecture of Kilkis for the S.C. Decisions taken by the S.C are important for education and teachers alike. Teachers participate in the S.C with their elected representatives to check the legality of the actions and decisions taken. Teacher changes are advised by the S.C and have an impact on their lives (transfers, postings, etc.). The study was conducted with a questionnaire answered by teachers from Kilkis County and the results were processed using the SPSS method. The study ends with the conclusions drawn from this research. Teachers believe that S.C. members should have I.T. training, a Master in Education Management, administrative experience, good knowledge of legislation, social sensitivity and fellowship. Regarding the composition and responsibilities of the S.C, teachers advise that there should also be a third elected representative, the members of the S.C. Being appointed by the Regional Director of Education and there should be a provision concerning the quota of women included, contributes positively to their operation The Service Councils are collective bodies and teachers consider them necessary for the reliable administration of education.
