Εργασιακό προφίλ ειδικευόμενων ιατρών Θεσσαλονίκης (Bachelor thesis)

Occupational satisfaction and burnout have been the subject of research in the medical field in recent years due to their negative impact that exert on employees, patients healthcare and further on the countries health care system. The aim of this study was to outline the profile of resident doctors, focusing on their occupational satisfaction, causes of anxiety and symptoms of burnout in the geographical area of Thessaloniki. The questions of the research were developed with the aim to find the causes of satisfaction, anxiety and burnout. In order to answer the questions above, a primary research was conducted on sample of 127 resident doctors in a hospital in Thessaloniki. Methodologically the questionnaire was based on weighted questionnaires of Maslach, Buranta and Avdimiotis and was processed with the use of SPSS 20 and Amos 19. The basic findings indicate that resident doctors exhibit symptoms of burn out, work-related stress and other accompanying symptoms. At the same time, this has a significant impact on their occupational satisfaction, which is also characterized by the recognition of their role in the society.

| Abstract: | Οι έννοιες επαγγελματική ικανοποίηση και εξουθένωση αποτελούν αντικείμενο ερευνών στον ιατρικό κλάδο τα τελευταία χρόνια λόγω των αρνητικών επιπτώσεων στους εργαζόμενους, στην υγειονομική περίθαλψη των ασθενών και περαιτέρω στο σύστημα υγείας μιας χώρας. Σκοπός της εργασίας ήταν η σκιαγράφηση του εργασιακού προφίλ δίνοντας έμφαση στην ικανοποιήση τους από την εργασία, στις πηγές εργασιακού άγχους και στα συμπτώματα εργασιακής εξουθένωσης στη γεωγραφική περιοχή της Θεσσαλονίκης. Τα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα που αναπτύχθηκαν αφορούν στην εξεύρεση των αιτιών ικανοποίησης, άγχους και εξουθένωσης και για την απάντησή τους, διενεργήθηκε πρωτογενής έρευνα σε δείγμα 127 ειδικευόμενων σε νοσοκομείο της Θεσσαλονίκης. Μεθοδολογικά το ερωτηματολόγιο βασίστηκε σε σταθμισμένα ερωτηματολόγια των Maslach, Μπουραντά και Αβδημιώτη και η επεξεργασία έγινε μέσω των λογισμικών SPSS 20 και Amos 19. Τα βασικά ευρήματα αναδεικνύουν ότι οι ειδικευόμενοι ιατροί εμφανίζουν συμπτώματα εξουθένωσης και εργασιακού άγχους συνοδευόμενα με όλα τα συμπτώματα αυτών. Παράλληλα αυτό έχει σημαντική επίδραση στην εργασιακή τους ικανοποιήση η οποία όμως χαρακτηρίζεται και από την αναγνώριση του κοινωνικού τους ρόλου.
