Ένταξη και αξιοποίηση ηλεκτρονικών βιβλίων (e- books) στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία της Ε' και της ΣΤ' τάξης του δημοτικού σχολείου: Απόψεις και στάσεις των εκπαιδευτικών της πρωτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης (Π.Ε.) (Bachelor thesis)

The present research thesis constitutes the postgraduate dissertation within the framework of the master’s program in ORGANISATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF EDUCATION UNITS. It attempts to approach the e book phenomenon,its relationship with the contemporary school, its added value, its increasing potential, its pedagogical dimension, and to record and highlight the views of Primary School Education teachers with regard to the integration and utilization in educational practice.
The project begins with a brief reference to the topic, the necessity, the purpose, the research objectives and the secondary questions. Relevant definitions and concepts are related to the e book are presented. We follow the historical course of the predecessor of the e book, that is, from Gutenbergs printing press to the modern age, its evolution and transformation into digital.
Subsequently, the forms and features of the e book are described with emphasis on exploring its key features, its interactivity and the opportunities provided for improved learning. The available types and technologies are presented as well as their benefits and drawbacks. There is extensive reference to the proliferation and acceptance of e books and to the latest trends in their field.
Furthermore, the connection of the e book to the modern school is also considered. Also, starting with a brief reference to the route from the traditional blackboard, which was once called,the modern media and the connection of the e book to the modern school is considered. It explores the position of the e book in the educational process, the terms and conditions that are necessary prerequisite for its effective use. The role of the teacher and the students and the expected benefits of its integration and utilization in the educational process are also examined.
A description of the research, follows starting with the review of the bibliography from which the scientific data that has been collected, its purpose indicating its purpose with the research questions and the research methodology of the work, which includes details of the sample, the research tools, the process, the timetable and the resources available.
Finally, after the presentation of the research data and results, the main conclusions are summarized, which are drawn from the research and some pointers are made.
