Ηγεσία και διοίκηση των σχολικών μονάδων δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης του Ν.Κιλκίς. Ο ρόλος του διευθυντή (Bachelor thesis)

In an effort of looking for the role that effective school is called upon today, in a rapidly changing society, a role that is governed by important and difficult challenges, it also seeks to identify the role of an effective school director. It also seeks to clarify those elements that characterize the effective director and make him a capable mediator between the individual groups and subgroups that make up the school unit, in order to maintain its balance and proper functioning. Through the bibliographical conceptual analysis of a set of concepts such as Management and Effective Leadership in the Modern School, it was extracted informations that were compiled for further exploration of the research questions. In this context, we sought to investigate teachers' views on their perception and understanding of the multidimensional role of an effective school director in the modern school environment, using the anonymous questionnaire as a methodological tool, in a sample of 300 teachers and directors in the Directorate of Secondary Education of Kilkis which has 30 school units namely 16 Gymnasiums, 11 GEL and 3 EPAL. Of the teachers to whom the questionnaire was sent and who were selected by random sampling, 68 responded to the survey, of which 23 Directors and Deputy Directors and 45 teachers. Teachers were asked to respond to the questionnaire that was sent to them, designed to collect the material and information sought for the research questions under investigation. Subsequently, while the data from the questionnaire responses were aggregated, an analysis was performed and the relevant results are reported. Finally, there are a set of proposals that could be adopted by School Directors, about their work as well as their collaboration with Teachers, with the aim of more effective School Units Management. Finally, it was concluded that the views of the «ΗΓΕΣΙΑ ΚΑΙ ΔΙΟΙΚΗΣΗ ΣΧΟΛΙΚΩΝ ΜΟΝΑΔΩΝ ΚΑΙ Ο ΡΟΛΟΣ ΤΟΥ ΔΙΕΥΘΥΝΤΗ» ΔΙ.ΠΑ.Ε. 4 teachers who participated in the research and who answered the questionnaire are relevant in several points to the literature as set out in the relevant section of the literature review. However, it should be noted that it was observed -as in any research- some differentiation as the views of each participant are formulated based on his personal views, attitudes and his worldview in general.
